PARK CITY, UT – The developers of Ironwood Condominiums at Empire Pass invite the press to attend the dedication of Hank’s Cabin on Tuesday, March 28th, at 5 p.m. The event will honor Hank Rothwell, retired Chief Executive Officer of United Park City Mines. The ADA-compliant cabin is reminiscent of an authentic turn-of-the-century miner’s cabin, and sits along the mountainside with direct ski access from The Northside Express Chairlift. The 500-square-foot cabin will be open for owners and guests of Ironwood to enjoy.
“Hank’s Cabin pays tribute to the man with the vision for the Empire Pass area,” said Jack Koson, president of Ironwood Resort Development. “Rather than settling for a high-density, commercial project, Hank Rothwell set the standard for nothing less than the ecologically sound, low-density community Empire Pass has become… “We have great admiration for this exceptional setting, and sincerely thank Hank for it,” Koson added.
The new Empire Pass area of Deer Valley is located in the former Guardsman’s Pass area, just south of Park City’s historic Main Street. Empire Pass spans 3,500 acres, with breathtaking alpine views, and is now home to some of the finest skiing at Deer Valley® Resort, including the nine chairlifts of Flagstaff Mountain. Approximately 90% of Empire Pass will remain open space in perpetuity.
